How to check a moss removal provider.
Ask for the method in writing
A good provider can say how they will remove moss, what pressure they use and what product, if any, they apply.
Check the product
Ask for the product name and registration number. The BC government says roof products must be approved in Canada.
Ask about runoff
Ask how wash water and debris stay out of storm drains. Richmond's bylaw generally prohibits polluting substances entering them.
Confirm insurance and coverage
Ask for proof of liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage or exemption. Keep copies with your quote.
Read guarantee terms
If a regrowth guarantee is offered, get it in writing and read what voids it before you pay.
